Momo Vendor Stabs Customer Over Red Sauce Dispute in Delhi
In a shocking incident in east Delhi’s Bhikam Singh Colony, a 34-year-old man sustained serious injuries after being stabbed at least twice in the face by a 23-year-old momo vendor. The violent altercation ensued when the customer demanded extra red sauce, leading to the vendor, identified as Vikas, resorting to a knife attack.
The victim, Kumar Sandeep, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Sandeep explained to the police that he had requested more red sauce from Vikas, who refused, citing limited stock. The refusal escalated into a heated argument, and Vikas, in a fit of rage, grabbed a knife from his cart and stabbed Sandeep twice.
After the attack, Vikas fled the scene, leaving behind his momo cart and the injured customer. Sandeep, who runs a small mobile charger making unit in Bholanath Nagar, Shahdara, continues to receive medical treatment at the hospital.
The Farsh Bazar police station has registered a case of attempted murder against Vikas under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code. Police teams are conducting raids to locate and apprehend the assailant.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of maintaining composure in minor disputes and resorting to non-violent resolutions. Authorities are actively pursuing legal action, and citizens are urged to exercise restraint and find peaceful solutions to conflicts to ensure public safety and well-being.
