New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has initiated the online booking process for approximately 10,000 ready-to-move-in flats spanning various categories across the capital city. These properties, offered on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis, are freehold and promise affordable housing solutions for different income segments.

Among the available properties are around 8,000 newly constructed flats, catering specifically to the economically weaker section (EWS) and low-income group (LIG) categories. These flats are part of Phase III of the Diwali Special Housing Scheme 2023, located in Narela.

The Diwali Special Housing Scheme 2023 was launched by the DDA on November 24, offering newly constructed flats on a FCFS basis. The ongoing scheme, a part of the endeavor to provide affordable housing to the general public, has already seen considerable success with over 3,000 flats sold under phases I and II. Now, with Phase III, an additional 7,931 flats are up for grabs, including 1,420 EWS flats in Sector G7 and 6,511 flats in Pocket II Narela.

“These flats are being offered at reasonable prices in addition to the flats in ongoing Phase I and II of the Diwali scheme,” stated an official from the DDA.

In addition to the EWS and LIG flats, the registration process has also commenced for 445 middle-income group (MIG) flats at Sector A1-A4, Narela, under the old scheme (FCFS Phase IV). These flats are proposed to be offered at a discounted rate, following a recent approval by the authority.

“The authority recently approved a proposal to offer the carried-forward MIG flats at Sector A1-A4, Narela under FCFS Phase IV at a discount of 15% to the general public and at a discount of 25% for all government employees,” stated the DDA. With discounts applied, the cost of a flat in this category is expected to range from Rs 75-87 lakh.

Responding to public demand for suitable flats in other areas at reasonable rates, DDA is also offering flats of various categories at old rates quoted in FCFS IV 2023. This includes 1,042 high-income group (HIG) and MIG flats from FCFS Phase IV 2023 at Jasola, Rohini, Loknayak Puram, and Siraspur.

In Jasola, there are eight HIG flats available, with prices ranging from Rs 2-2.1 crore. In Rohini, 810 LIG flats are on offer in Sector 34 and 28 in Sector 35, costing tentatively around Rs 14 lakh. Additionally, there are 107 LIG flats in pockets A1 & C2, Siraspur, priced at Rs 17 lakh, and 89 in pockets A1 and C2 in Loknayak Puram for Rs 26-27 lakh.

The online booking process for these flats signifies a significant step towards addressing the housing needs of various income groups within the city, aligning with the DDA’s mission to provide affordable and quality housing solutions to residents of Delhi.
