Congress Rajya Sabha leader Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent ‘400 paar’ (crossing 400 seats) statement, ‘I Pray You Keep 40 Seats’ PM Modi
In a sharp retort to Congress Rajya Sabha leader Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent ‘400 paar’ (crossing 400 seats) statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a scathing speech in the Rajya Sabha, terming Kharge a source of entertainment and expressing his hope that Congress at least secures 40 seats in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Referring to Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee’s assertion that Congress may not even cross 40 seats in the 2024 polls, PM Modi quipped, “I pray that you keep 40 seats with you.” Taking a dig at Kharge’s ambitious electoral projection, PM Modi remarked, “As I listened to his speech, I wondered how he got the freedom to speak so much. Then I noticed that those two commanders were not there. Kharge ji thought, ‘when will such an opportunity come again?’ and scored fours and sixes.”
