New Delhi: A day after receiving a notice from the Delhi Police crime branch over his claims of the BJP offering ₹25 crore to AAP legislators, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched another scathing attack on the ruling party. Speaking after laying the foundation stone of two schools in Kirari, Kejriwal accused the BJP of conspiring against him but asserted that he would never join their ranks.

“They can conspire against us all they want, but they will fail. I am standing against them, will never give up. They tell me I should join, but I told them I will never join them. Why should I?” questioned Kejriwal, addressing the ongoing political turmoil.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor went on to highlight the alleged leniency offered to those joining the BJP, stating, “If you go to the BJP, all your crimes are forgiven, what wrong have we done? We are building schools, hospitals, roads, and repairing sewers. Is this a crime?”

This fresh assault on the BJP comes in the wake of Kejriwal’s claim that the BJP attempted to lure seven AAP legislators with hefty offers, an accusation the BJP vehemently denies. Delhi Police served notices to both Kejriwal and AAP minister Atishi in connection with these allegations.

The political tension escalated further as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) approached the Rouse Avenue court against Kejriwal’s non-compliance with five summonses related to an alleged scam in Delhi’s now-scrapped excise policy. Kejriwal, maintaining his innocence, and the AAP have accused the BJP of orchestrating a “political witch-hunt.”

It is noteworthy that both the Delhi Police and the ED, the agencies involved in these investigations, report to the Union government, currently led by the BJP. As Kejriwal continues to reject the BJP’s overtures and faces legal scrutiny, the political landscape in Delhi remains charged with allegations and counter-allegations
